During the festival you can join one of various culinary tours and take a stroll through the flavours of the city on the Taste Ljubljana tour, the Ljubljana Beer Experience or the Ljubljana Wine Experience, or be one of the first to experience a food walk through the market with a Ljubljana-style breakfast – a new gourmet experience organised by Ljubljana Tourism.
You can also order a genuine Ljubljana-style breakfast at many Ljubljana restaurants this month, or treat yourself to a Ljubljana-style Sunday lunch at the Švicarija Creative Centre in Tivoli Park. Visit the Locally Grown Food Exchange and get to know local producers and growers, attend the Little Wine School with top wine expert Mira Šemić to learn more about wine tasting, and discover new trends in the world of craft beer during Ljubljana Craft Beer Week.
November Gourmet will also include a Saint Martin’s Day celebration in the centre of Ljubljana with a special autumn edition of the Ljubljana Wine Route. The annual Hospitality and Tourism Convention takes place at the Grand Hotel Union from 11 to 13 November, while the Slovenian Wine Festival takes place at Cankarjev Dom on 14 and 15 November.
The climax of the festival will be the November Gourmet Finale at City of Design on Friday, 22 November, an event that will bring together top Ljubljana chefs, gastronomic connoisseurs and culinary enthusiasts. The closing evening promises an abundance of delicious experiences in a relaxed atmosphere and the now traditional selection of the New Taste of Ljubljana from among the three competition finalists.
Check out the full programme, which will be further expanded in the coming days, on the events calendar.
