IDEAS FOR THE MOST DELICIOUS FAREWELL TO 2018

Do you know yet how you will spend “the longest night” of the year? We selected some ideas for New Year’s Eve dinners in Ljubljana to bid farewell to the old year and look ahead to 2019. Treat yourself with one of rich New Year’s Eve menus, celebrate with a fine sparkling wine with your nearest and dearest and enter 2019 in the most delicious company.

Chef Jorg Zupan and his team will take you to the new year with a decadent menu including sashimi of Adriatic tuna, Tamago with truffles, pike perch with caviar, octopus and lobster with saffron, duck breast with Andouille sausage and molasses and a dessert made of foie-gras. There is also a wide selection of wines to go with rich dishes.

If you decide for the fish menu you will indulge in octopus salad Dalmatian style, roasted sea bass and house gnocchi with prawn, while the meat menu includes beefsteak tartare, gnocchi with venison goulash and grilled beefsteak. Both menus also come with a New Year's Eve dessert and a late night soup to give you energy in small hours.

The New Year’s Eve menu with a host of rich dishes includes goose liver foam, bruschetta with Tolmin cottage cheese, Piran sea bass tartare, octopus with black olives and capers, saddle of roe deer and Kobarid dumplings.
